The Department of Environmental Health and Safety is providing Radiation Safety training.
The Radiation Safety Committee Policy states that all personnel who are working in a lab that has been designated as a radioisotope laboratory must be trained. Radiation safety training is an annual requirement for all university personnel (faculty, staff and students) working with radioactive materials.
This full version of the radiation safety training course (in person lecture attendance required) is intended for all new radiation workers within the Queen’s radiation protection program, including staff, students and faculty.
The next session for Open-Source Radiation Safety will be:
Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
The course will be in-person presentation, held in the Faculty and Staff Learning Facility, Lecture Theatre, which is located in Mackintosh-Corry Hall, Complex B176.
The course will be approximately 2.5 hours long.
