1941 January 20-2022 January 17
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Blake Gubbins (Robert Blakeney) in his eighty first year at his care home in Mexico on January 17th 2022. Blake suffered the twin evils dementia and cancer, but died peacefully in the company of his wife Monica and devoted youngest daughter Amelia. He was predeceased by his parents Bill and Nancy and survived by three brothers Grierson (England), Beresford (Vancouver Island BC) and Lancelot (Switzerland) and a number of heartless and indifferent children. Blakes final time in Mexico was joyful, and despite his ailments he remained a courteous and happy gentleman. A wake in celebration of Blakes life will be scheduled at his favourite club on the Sydenham Rd. (KNVA).
May he rest in peace.
