Shuxiang Li received his B.S. from the Central China Normal University with majors in Chemistry and Biology and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Iowa, USA. Later, he worked for two years as a postdoctoral fellow at Rutgers University, USA, where he developed computational methods for the analysis and modeling of nucleic acids and their interactions with proteins. Currently he is using high performance computing to develop approaches for studying the effects of epigenetic modifications on the structure, stability and dynamics of nucleosomes.
